Planning a summer trip to the New Jersey Shore

If you are planning a trip to the New Jersey Shore, two destinations that come to mind are Brigantine and Cape May. Both are family friendly, have many attractions, and nice clean beaches. They are within driving distance to major cities such as New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington DC.
Brigantine is on a barrier island just north of Atlantic City. Actually the only way to get onto Brigantine Island is through Atlantic City. Visitors of this city can also enjoy everything Atlantic City has to offer since it is just a short 5 minute drive. One other unique thing about Brigantine is that with a permit, you are able to drive your 4 wheel drive vehicle onto the beach (designated areas only). Not many towns offer tailgating on the beach. If you are looking for somewhere to stay, it is recommended that you try a Brigantine Vacation Rental. Most of the rentals on the island are walking distance to the beach.
If you are interested in historic or Victorian Style buildings, then Cape May would be a
great choice for you. This town is known for older style architectures. It is also considered one of America’s first seaside resorts. For many years, families from all over have been enjoying Cape May. Places to eat and things to do are also plentiful, mostly all within walking distance to where you choose to stay. If you are looking for somewhere to stay, a great plan may be to try Cape May Vacation Rentals. You will find a wide variety of styles in Cape May ranging from rental homes to condos.
