The Theatre Royal in GlasgowGlasgow, Scotland is home to the Theatre Royal. This beautiful Scottish landmark has been around since the later part of the 19th century and has since had its share of fires and disasters. The present facade of the Theatre Royal is perhaps the only thing that remains of the original. Throughout its lifetime the Theater Royal had many prestigious performances including those conducted by the Scottish Ballet and the Scottish Opera.

The first theater is the original auditorium within the building of the Royal Theatre, it was constructed in 1867, but it unfortunately burned down twelve years later. During its time, it bore witness to great Scottish plays and dramas. After the fire, the theatre was rebuilt by C.J. Phipps, who was one of the most revered architects in the world.
